If anxiety about giving a speech is an issue for you, like it is for a lot of people, it’s helpful to analyze your fears to see if they are “showstoppers” or just something to encounter and handle before moving on. It can be helpful to write down our fears–all the possible things that can go wrong–then come up with fixes for them.
Fixes should be:
1. A Preventative Measure you can do before the fear becomes reality, and
2. On-the-Spot remedies that can keep you going even if you make a mistake.
In your discussion, write down two to three (2-3) fears that you (or anyone) might have about public speaking. THEN, for each provide a Preventative Measure & an On-the Spot remedy.
