For the final essay, we will use the research from our annotated bibliography assignment to write our final essays.

The essay part of the assignment is to make an argument for your controversial issue. In order to do this, you should:
1)Present the controversial issue
2)Take a clear stance on the issue
3)Discuss the controversy around the issue through your sources
4)Argue why your viewpoint is the correct one.

You must find a way to present yourself as a reliable commentator on ethics; this means you will need to consider that you need to be well informed on the topic (you should actually read your sources rather than just finding quotes that support your claim). Since you are creating an argument through your discussion of these texts, you will need to do more than merely summarize their points (though you may need to do some of that). Remember, you are partaking in a conversation with authorities within your field.

Your research and your works cited page are essentially finished (you are allowed to add sources to your final essay?s works cited page if you decide that you need more research than you had in your annotated bibliography, but otherwise, your research and works cited are nearly finished!).

For this final essay you will conceive of an audience AND a goal.
